 1988 was a sporting “summer of 69” for me. To kick it all off, my club toured Canada to take in the World Junior Athletics Championships and the Canadian Olympic trials. While it was the year of the Seoul Olympics, the sporting history books will show that it belongs to Ben Johnson and “the dirtiest race in history.”
